Masterclass: An Evening at a Friuli Osteria
On June 17th, the IACCSE will organize the Masterclass “An evening at a Friuli Osteria” in collaboration with PromoTurismoFVG, the tourism institution for the food and wine promotion of Friuli Venezia Giulia, to present the typical products of regional cuisine to a selected audience of 40 operators of the food & wine sector of the Southeast of the United States.
Located between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, Friuli Venezia Giulia is the most north-eastern region of Italy. It presents an incredibly diverse offering of food products and an original and unique cuisine with Central European and Italian influences.
A selected audience of local journalists, bloggers, influencers, importers, and distributors from the Southeast of USA, will be immersed in a culinary experience aimed at discovering different typical PDO and PGI products of Friuli Venezia Giulia including Prosciutto San Daniele and Montasio cheese and the Friulano and Refosco DOC wines.
There will be a live connection from both the Salumeria 104 Restaurant and from Friuli with a certified Sommelier and with a representative of PromoTurismoFVG connected by a Friulian osteria.
Before the Masterclass, participants will receive a box containing the typical products used for the two recipes that will be presented during the masterclass (tagliolini al San Daniele and Frico), as well as Friulano and Refosco wines presented by the sommelier connecting from Friuli.
The masterclass will therefore have a strong component of interactivity, in fact, the participants will be invited to replicate the recipes live through the guide of the chef of Salumeria 104.
